Here is your road map

Does this sound like you?

You’ve skied in the Snowplough - maybe for years, maybe just for a few days.

On the gentle beginner slopes at slower speeds, the snowplough serves you well.

But, as soon as the terrain gets a bit steeper it becomes a struggle to keep the speed down and you start loosing control.

You can't figure out what to do, and the frustration and fatigue quickly builds.

You see your friends and family skiing down the slope with a nice rhythm and in full control with their skis parallel. It's difficult for you to keep up with them.

And suddenly you find yourself simply surviving down the slope.

You don’t want to be the one slowing the others down. And you don't want to go down the steeper slopes.

So you stay on beginner hills not because you want to, but because it feels safer.

To progress you must learn parallel skiing.

Snowplough

âś” Good for beginners on gentle beginner slopes

X Works poorly on steeper slopes

X Less control

X More fatigue

X Less natural stance

Parallel skis

✔ Great for everybody going beyond the beginner slopes

✔ Works great on steeper slopes

âś” More control

✔ Less fatigue

✔ More natural stance

This is the winter you finally break free from the Snow plough. Here's how...

Hi, I'm Janus. And for more than 20 years, I have spent countless weeks teaching beginner skiers go from skiing in the snowplough to making confident parallel turns, so they can ski with control on much more of the mountain.

I've taught all kinds of people on all levels – including kids with special needs, adults and ski instructors.

After working with thousands of people I've discovered a few simple but powerful truths about teaching skiing.

  • Taking the next step only works when the body feels safe and confident
  • Confidence comes from having skills – so skills should be build before moving forward
  • Skills must be built in small, manageable steps
  • Each step must make sense and create an experience in your body of how the new thing helps you get more control in your skiing

This approach not only just work for beginners.

It works for everyone.

In fact, I've taught many ski instructors how to do it

Ten years ago, I became a course conductor and national examiner for aspiring Danish ski instructors working primarily with beginner skiers.

For 7 years my full time job was to be the manager of a ski team for 16 year old aspiring ski instructors.

I also helped write the official manual for the Danish Ski Instructor Association.

That deep dive into ski instructor education allowed me to refine this approach into a clear roadmap designed specifically for adult skiers stuck in the snowplough.

Introducing the course

From Plough to Parallel this winter

The online video course "From Plough to Parallel" is specifically designed to help adult skiers stuck in the snowplough to finally learn how to ski parallel with confidence and control beyond the beginner slopes this winter.

Video Poster Image

I won't tell you to force the progression, "just ski more" or to push your limits.

Instead I'll help you go from the snowplough to confident parallel skiing by building the exact balance- and movement skills you need in the right order, one step at a time.

Inside From Plough to Parallel, you’ll follow a clear, step-by-step progression where new skills are built within your comfort zone.

As your control improves, your confidence grows – and suddenly then next step forward doesn't seem as big or intimidating anymore.

With this course in your pocket on your next ski trip, you could:

  • Break through the barrier to parallel skiing
  • Stop being limited to beginner slopes
  • Ski more of the mountain with calm, controlled turns
  • Join friends and family as they explore new terrain
  • Go from feeling frustrated and exhausted on skis to relaxed, efficient, and genuinely enjoying the ride

Here is your roadmap...

Your roadmap to moving away from the snowplough into confident parallel skiing takes you through 7 important milestones.

Follow each step and you'll be able to run down the slope with you family and friends, feeling confident and in control over your skiing.

MODULE 1

Introduction to the method

We set the foundation so you know exactly how to use the course, how to practice effectively, and how to progress safely and confidently from day one.

MODULE 2

Build your parallel skiing skills in your snow plough

A good athletic stance, balance on the outside ski, and the ability to turn with your feet are three key skills for confident parallel skiing — yet most adult skiers are never shown how to practice and develop them intentionally.

In this module, you’ll build these skills while still skiing in your familiar snowplough, so the transition from plough to parallel will feel natural, controlled, and dramatically easier.

MODULE 3

Transition to parallel

This is where we break the transition from skiing in the snowplough to keeping your skis parallel into small, manageable steps — so you can move forward comfortably, with control, and at your own pace.

MODULE 4

Stop with parallel skis

Being able to stop whenever you want is essential for feeling safe and in control on your skis. And it also improves your ability to control speed through your turns.

In this module, you’ll be guided through:

  • A simple, effective way to learn parallel stopping

  • Several practice options at different levels of difficulty

  • Step-by-step progressions from easy to more challenging, so you can move forward at a pace that feels right for you

MODULE 5

Linking parallel turns

Here you’ll learn how to link your parallel turns smoothly and easily, so one turn flows naturally into the next.

You’ll focus on a simple balance shift that help your skis change direction with control, rather than effort.

MODULE 6

Round turns

In this module, you’ll refine your turning skills so your turns feel balanced and controlled — even as the slope gets steeper or conditions change.

MODULE 7

Celebration and next steps

This module is about celebrating what you have achieved while following the course.

(COMING SOON) You also get some helpful suggestions on what you can do next to keep improving your skiing beyond the Plough to Parallel course.

But wait, there is more...

To help you achieve results even quicker and help you if you get stuck,

you'll get access to 2 bonus modules.

BONUS MODULE 1

At home exercises

Progress doesn’t have to stop when you leave the mountain.

You’ll get simple off-snow exercises that reinforce key movement patterns and build body awareness — so when you return to skiing, your progress comes faster and feels more natural, instead of starting over each time. (1 VIDEO, MORE EXERCISE COMING SOON)

BONUS MODULE 2

Your questions answered

In this module help clear up confusion, address common challenges, and give you extra perspective, so you can keep moving forward with confidence. (1 VIDEO, MORE ANSWERS COMING SOON)

What makes From Plough to Parallel different

In many skiing lessons, there is little time and you might be asked to – or you feel like you are supposed to – push forward before you feel ready.

From Plough to Parallel works the other way around.

Skills are built inside your comfort zone, using small, logical steps that help you experience the right movements and feel their effect — so real control comes first, and confidence to progress grows naturally.

Here’s what happens when adult skiers use this approach

I've been teaching thousands of skiers and the results for beginners can be truly remarkable if they build their balance- and movement skills step-by-step within their comfort zone and only progress when they are ready.

"It gave me more confidence on the skis, last year, improving my skiing, and subsequently a better holiday."

- Thomas Nielsen

New to skiing

"After a bad first experience with alpine skiing, I avoided it for many years.

When I finally decided to give it another try so I could ski with my grandchildren, I used these steps and exercises — and for the first time, it actually worked.

I never thought I would reach this point, but now I’m not only skiing again… I’m genuinely enjoying it."

So, is this worth it?

Let's consider how most adult skiers try to solve being stuck in the snow plough.

They book a private lesson.

That usually means:

! 1–2 hours on snow
! $95–$175 per private lesson (might be more in peak weeks)
! A lot of information
! Very little time to actually change habits

And once the lesson is over, it might be hard to remember all the instructions.

If the timing, terrain, or nerves aren’t right that day…
you go home with good intentions — but the same skiing.

The From Plough to Parallel course costs about the same as 1-2 private ski lessons

But instead of 90 minutes once or twice, you get:

• Lifetime access
• Unlimited replays
• Progress you can pause, repeat, and return to every season
• Skills that stay with you long after the holiday ends

Most people don’t actually need more instruction.

They need the right explanation, delivered in the right order, with time to absorb it.

That’s exactly what this course gives you.

This course is different (and that’s the point)

This course is designed for adult skiers who need time, clarity, and repetition—not pressure.

Instead of trying to fix everything in one expensive session, you get:

✔  A clear step-by-step path from snowplough to parallel

✔  Short, focused lessons you can revisit anytime

✔  Explanations made for adult brains (not kids on holiday)

✔  Exercises you can practise at your own pace

✔   A structure that builds skills and confidence before moving on to the next step

No rushing.
No performing in front of others.
No forgetting half of it the next day.

So, if this sounds like you…

You’re not trying to become an expert.

You just want to:

✔  Feel confident and in control instead of struggling

âś” Ski beyond beginner runs

✔ Enjoy skiing with friends and family without holding them back

Then this is likely the simplest and lowest-risk step forward you can take.

No pressure.
No rush.

Just a clear path out of the snow plough and into the realm of parallel skiing – at your own pace.
