Our Step-By-Step-Concept

For the majority of happy skiers - or skiers who have just started their journey - a few simple but precise and effective guidelines and tips directed towards they current skill level is of much use and value. That is why we have decided to make this step by step concept where you can jump into the step, that suits your exact skill level.

This structure provides a fast and safe progression. We have chosen a simple easy-to-understand language, so you will be able to apply the knowledge right away without any prerequisites or hours of studying new ski theory concepts.

The steps are designed so they build on each other. Each step thus prepares you well for later steps. Likewise, what you learn in Book 1 will prepare you well for the steps in Book 2.

Surely there are other ways to learn to gain control over your skis. There are different schools of thought that will promote different approaches. The approach in the Learn to Turn series does not subscribe to a specific school or ski instructor organisation. Rather, I am inspired by and has learned a lot from the major ski instructor organisations as well as outstanding individuals within all ski disciplines.

Through almost 20 years of teaching experience I have tested and refined the chosen steps in real life teaching situations. They are the exact steps that in my experience have the best effect.

To get the most out of the Learn to Turn book series you must follow them with the mindset described in the 7 golden rules of learning. These 7 golden rules describe the learning philosophy behind the step-by-step concept in the Learn To Turn book series.
